What did your seven month old eat today?

My DS (almost 7 months) has suddenly got really into solid food and can eagerly put away in one sitting what seems like quite a lot to me...I don't know where he puts it! Although he is a large baby. I'm pureeing simply because that's the way he seems most comfortable eating - more food goes in and that's his priority!

What has your seven month old eaten today?

Today DS had every last bit of:

8oz milk feed
one medium banana + one apple + five raspberries

8oz milk feed
8oz milk feed

one medium carrot + tablespoon sweetcorn
8oz milk feed

Or is this pretty standard really?

TeenyTinyToria · 12/02/2010 20:24

I am the world's worst cook, so it's less of a recipe and more of a "throw everything in a pan till chewable".

I just cook potato and broccoli until it's soft, and then tip in a can of tuna, some milk to mix it all up and bind it together, and a little bit of grated cheese. My dh says it tastes quite nice

There is a proper recipe in the Lorraine Kelly book of weaning/baby recipes, which I did try at some point before doing my lazy version, and that was nice too.

Today has not been inspired on the cooking front, but the quantities are a bit staggering, so might help put your mind at rest.

5.30 BF
Back to sleep til
9.30 whole weetabix with whole milk followed by BF
12.00 shared our lunch in john lewis which was flatbread with roast beef and cheese in it, and potatoes with onion. she had quite a bit of it (well bread and cheese and potato anyway) - maybe a heaped tablespoonful total
2.00 BF
4.30 whole banana mashed up with milk followed by half a tin of ambrosia rice pudding
5.30 BF and bed

Blimey.

ImSoNotTelling · 12/02/2010 20:39

She is 7months and 2 weeks BTW

ImSoNotTelling · 12/02/2010 20:41

Oh and half a slice of wholemeal bread before supper. And 2 cheese savoury things (small biscuit size) that DD1 made with grandma while we were shopping.

taytotayto · 13/02/2010 20:27

Teeny thans so much for that. im going to try it tomorrow.
