. . . . . and the HV was promoting BLW! In fact we only talked about BLW! Not a mention of puree at all or a jar in sight! Has anyone else had this experience? I found it quite encouraging as i had kinda thought that this would be the road we would follow but i was pleasantly surprised . . .

Yay!

It was mentioned at my waening talk, about this time last year.

I did BLW. My HV was a bit . Now she is all for it .

Some HVs are in favour of it - I know at least one local HV who mentions it to babies.

I mentioned it at my surestart centre and they all went .

My HV actively promoted BLW when I was weaning DD over a year ago. 'tis good.

i think what surprised me most was my SIL went to a talk 4 months ago (within the same city) and had lots of `freebie' jars etc and yet today we were told that the advice HV were now actively promoting BLW rather than pureeing (is that a word??) everything in sight

My HV (well the NN on the team) asked me to come and do the weaning talk on BLW cause they didn't know anything about it and I had done it!!
