What do you feed your 10 month old??

My 10 onth old ds2 still gags at times, especially when he has a cold. I didn't do blw with either of them but ds1 was eating most things by this age - I think!!

Just looking for ideas on what you wive you 10 month old to eat at meal times?

we are trying everything we have - within reason.

ds is a terrible gagger and it took us ages to get him onto lumps.
everything now is either mashed or chopped very fine. i spent 20 minutes shredding pieces of beef from a casserole for him. worth it though as he loved it!

ds will still gag if he crams too much in or he yawns mid mouthful. and will still puke

we've found it goes down easier if its wet and saucy - like tiny pieces of chicken and rice in plenty of curry sauce. rather than small lumps of mince and spaghetti without lots of sauce.

wish i had a miracle fix for the gag/ puke - i get so sick of clearing it up!

We're at the same sort of stage as you at the moment..

Hi, my 9 mth old dd is at a very similar stage, and seems to gag/vomit on anything slightly lumpy (although does manage cheese cubes quite well!) Would love to give her bread/toast but when she starts gagging it freaks me out! This evening she must have been chewing on a piece of carrot for an hour!! Not sure how to get her to have more "normal" food. My 2 ds's never had this problem. She's not eating alot at the moment because as soon as she realises there are lumps, she clamps her mouth shut and won't eat any more. Consequently I'm giving in to her, and providing alternatives (i.e purees) which I know isn't great but at least she's having something.
Will this just sort itself out naturally? She even gagged on scrambled egg this week - you can't get much softer than that!
