Hungry milk

I put my DD on extra hungry milk to delay weaning, however 2 weeks on it made no difference so i have began to wean her. We went to the clinic weight in last week and she had put 2 pounds on in 2 weeks! Now i'm worried she's getting far to many calories with weaning foods and extra hungry milk, should i change the milk back?

I don't think the hungry milk actually has more calories, just different ratios of whey to cassein, so that it stays in the baby's tummy longer (harder to digest, so baby feels fuller for longer).

For that reason alone, I would switch back, but I don't think it will make any difference to calorie intake (if I am wrong, please, someone correct me).

Could they just have weighed her wrong - either this time or last time? Has she jumped centile lines? Do either of the weights (this time, or last time) look wrong compared to her "normal" curve?

How old is your DD, by the way? And how much food are you giving her?

My HV told me not to use the hungry baby milk as it makes babies constipated.

She was perfectly on the 50th, but now has jumped to the 75th! Sma gold her oringinal milk seemed to go straight through her hence why i think she was hungry all the time, sma blue makes her poo's much better, more paste like. She's 5 1/2 months i'm giving her have a tub of fruit in the morning and 1/2 a tub veggies late afternoon, she would eat more if i gave it to her.
