Is it OK to mix my 6 month olds porridge with whole cows milk?

I weaned DS1 on porridge and breastmilk but it took so long to express so I'm wondering if it's OK to use cows milk in DS2's cereal?

He is still BF on demand through the day so this isn't his main milk.

Thanks!

they can have cows milk as part of food just not for main drink till 1 year.
i think it's better to do cereal with cows milk as it's less sweet - i FF ds but worried the sweet formula would give him a taste for sugary cereal. he's very happy on his healthy weetabix and readybrek now. unlike his daddy!
