my 18 week old dd seems ready for weaning, she is drinking 9oz of aptamil (number 1) every 3-4 hours, she is chewing everything she canmanage to get to her mouth, chewing her tongue, she has started waking in the night to feed when she has previoously slept through til now, and whenever we eat she starts screaming...what do i do put her on hungry baby aptamil or introduce some baby rice?

Bananastew, that's hilarious!!

Do you think if you don't have a balcony, that you could just tie the moses basket handles to a piece of rope and hang them from the window ledge?!

These no-sugar cakes are great for babies too (6 months plus)

banana flapjacks

banana bread

banana oat muffins

banana and date flapjacks

banana and oat cookies

I sometimes substitued apples for bananas, blueberries and cranberries for dates and treacle for honey (honey is only suitable from 12 months)

Oh and instead of sugar I weighed out the amount of fruit to equal the weight of sugar required by the recipe.

ffs at all these HVs - i thought they were at least expected to pretend to agree with weaning at 6mo
