Swapping formula when on holiday

Does anyone know if it's ok to just suddenly switch formula when you're away on holiday? We'll be away for almost 3 weeks so don't really want to take 3 big tubs of aptamil with us. However, I didn't know if switching would be similar to people not being used to 'foreign' food and might upset DS's tummy.

Where are you going? Can you get the hotel/rellies to buy it there for you? We used Cow & Gate and found it in the Caribbean (after lugging it all the way there)most formulas are global now, so you could prob email the company and ask them what name they use there? Otherwise, we changed formulas on holiday when DS was about 11months old with no ill effects.

Thanks winomum - we're going to Malaysia and when I checked on a website they don't seem to do Aptamil. Good to know that your little one had no ill effects when changing though.
