My ds is only 9mo but wants to feed himself. This is fine but it's incredibly messy! Does anyone have any top tips to minimise mess/ cleaning up afterwards???

Feed him in the kitchen, butt naked.

am afraid coldtits is right. my ds is 18months and he only wears his nappy when eating at home. sorry to say it gets worse. i give my ds double portions because half goes in his mouth and the other half goes on the floor or his body.

bibs with sleeves - Silly Billyz are the best ime

I found a cotton bib under a big with sleeves usually kept dd's clothes more or less clean and dry. Put highchair on wipe clean floor ie tiles, floor boards, or use a plastic sheet or other covering if you're got carpet. I used a highchair with a large tray with a lip stopped things rolling off so that I could just whip the tray off. Don't even think about cleaning up until he's finished eating - I fully appreciate how tedious moping the same bit of floor 3 times a day is, but it's quicker to do it once at the end it won't go on forever.
