What sort of bread?

I've read that babies aren't supposed to have too much fibre but I don't like the idea of giving DD (6.5 months) highly processed white bread with a load of junk in it.

We normally buy granary or seeded bread and I have been giving her that on the grounds that she wasn't eating much of it anyway. Yesterday, however she polished off an entire slice so I think I need to be more discerning

Also, which brands do you find have the lowest salt?

You can use a mixture of white/brown/wholemeal as long as it is not all wholegrain that you offer. I used 50/50 bread for a while - most loaves seem to be around 0.4/0.5g of salt per slice.
