Help - Baby only loves dried Heinz Dinners mush!

Am weaning DD (now 7 months) and had started down a pragmatic mix of hand held stuff (carrot sticks/banana/courgettes/toast etc) and some mushed up home cooked stuff (minus salt and sugar).

A couple of weeks ago I was at FIL's house and didn't have anything for her so reluctantly bought one of the boxes of powdered 'Heinz Dinners'. I mixed it up, tasted it (bleurgghh....) and thought she's never going to eat this wallpaper paste.....but oh no! She blardy loves the stuff and can't get enough of it (the shame ), and will now actively avoid stuff that isn't manufactured by Mr Heinz.

The question is, as she is still bf and is getting other stuff (some fresh fruit and veg daily) should I just ignore this lack of taste and feed her what she likes and just mix in greater amounts of fresh stuff by stealth as the weeks go on, or do you think I should try and wean her off the stuff?

I am mean and would say go cold turkey on the heinz stuff - apart from anything else it costs a bloody fortune, and you really don't want her getting a taste for it

if she is bf on demand she will get all she needs

NB if she likes the low-effort texture of slop try her on thick soups - real food but runny, iyswim.

Thanks MrsB, I tried whizzing up a homemade hearty grey slop veg stew and she loved it so you were spot on with the idea about texture.

Hello blender, goodbye Mr Heinz
