ds2 will be 14 weeks old tomorrow and weaning guidelines are 4-6 bmonths and im just not sure when to start??? I started weaning ds1 at around 16 weeks but wanted to leave it a bit longer this time but not if ds2 needs to start soon? he was born at 8lb9oz and last time i got him wieghed (last week) he was 14lb14oz, he seems content with just bf at the moment but he does feed very regularly so makes me think he will need more soon? when would you start given the information???

I'd start as close to 6 months as possible. Weight has nothing to do with it btw - ds was over 20lbs before he started solids at around 5 1/2 months

My DS is 24 weeks tomorrow and is still on formula and weighed in at 8kgs a couple of weeks ago. He's ready now for weaning but HV wants me to hold off for 2 more weeks. I'm going to start weaning next week. Are you BF? If not you could give the Hungry baby formula a go. I know it worked for my SIL.
