Trying to get 6 and a half month old to drink from a beaker

I'm currently weaning my DS and he's having 3 large meals a day, but I'm having trouble getting him to drink water/juice from a beaker or cup. He doesn't seem to grasp the concept. He's having a mix of BF and formula between meals so knows how to suck from a bottle. We've even tried a doidy cup, but still not much success. I'm worried he's not having enough to drink. Can anyone recommend a good training beaker/cup? Or generally give any advice. All help will be gratefully received.

I liked the cheap Tommee Tippee trainer cups, not the ones where they have the magic valve.

we got on best with the tommee tippee first cup with a flip up spout. My lo's only took a few sips to start with but eventually got to grips with it.

everyone I know used those tommee tippee ones first too.
