How do i get my 13mo to use a cup?

He will only drink from a bottle, and refuses cups full stop. Have tried a few different ones, but no go, he won't even put them in his mouth. Have even tried getting him to drink from a cup with no lid, but he won't swallow. Problem is, he won't really drink water, even from a bottle, and I don't want to give him juice in a bottle, so he is getting too much milk!

When you've offered it to him has it been at meal times etc whilst you are watching him? or have you tried just leaving him a cup with a bit of water in to play with? Both of mine after just playing with the cup over a matter of weeks just started one day drinking from the cup, just try initially to let it become a familiar object to him.

Did try that once, but he just shook it and drenched himself and the floor. Guess I will just have to get used to the mess and keep a towel handy!
