chewing lumps !!!

please can anyone help , i have a 8 month old who is gaging with lumpy food!! when i try to introduce more lumps or texture she gags and gags and them with throw up!! nice. so this has been abit frustrating and really dont know what else to do . any ideas any one please ???

Mine was a lot happier with spooned lumps after having coped with finger foods a bit, as in coped with lumps he expected because he put them in himself. We also tell him if there's a bigger lump than in previous spoonfuls on the spoon "ooh, there's a lumpy one."
