trixabell, I'm sure geogtech means no solids, just milk.
At any rate, my DS2 gagged a bit when we started finger foods, but soon got the knack. (He gagged, but never choked - was breating well throughout.) Ripe pear, pealed and cut into chip-shapes, is a good start - hard to choke on, no significant allergy risk, soft to chew. Oh, melons are good too, I don't know about allergies to them, though.
Despite having no teeth, now at eight months, DS2 just eats bits off my plate.
The Rachel's yogurts don't have added sugar, but they are very processed and smooth, I'd expect. (My DS2 is weird - the only purees he accepted, ever, were meaty ones. Even sweet things, off a spoon, are not acceptable.)
