Boiled egg at 6 months, anyone?

Hi,
I've been doing baby led weaning with my DD (6 months).
It's been going really well and she's been trying lots of new food,s including, this am, some of DS's boiled egg.

It went down nicely but then I remembered weaning guidelines from back when ds was a baby (8 years ago) when eggs weren't recommended until 1 year due to risk of allergies.

Anyway, seems like official guidelines haven't changed so am feeling guiltyish What I want to know is:

Is there anyone out there who is giving, or has given, egg to their baby from this age?

Yup dd had omelette and scrambled eggs from 6 months.

Me too. Mashed egg in a cup - dd2 loved it and she was 6 months....

Great, I'm going to give her some more tomorrow-cheap, quick, good source of iron, what's not to love!

You would probably have got a reaction immediately but watch out for hives in the next 24 hours. 1 in 15 babies are allergic to egg usually the whites. My DD allergic and DS cannot have egg in any form until he is one.
