Supermarket broccoli and stilton soup for a 9-month old??

Am going to Tesco in a mo and am going to get some fresh soup for me - and was going to give some to DS2 for lunch aswell.

But am now worried about the salt content - is supermarket soup likely to have too much salt for a 9-month old?

I'd say probably, yes. But also not sure if stilton in a soup is the right thing for a 9 mo - would they like the taste???

it is bloody salty

Tesco website says 1.3g salt / portion

FSA website says no more than 1g a day from 7-12m

so if he has (say) half a portion, that is nearly all his day's allowance of salt

so if he has no biscuits, processed cereals, cheese, bread or anything else with salt in today then you are probably ok

I'd make him scrambled eggs instead

Thank you for the info - that is what I thought but was hoping otherwise as it would be easier to give him what I was having!
