weaning and problem pooing

Have recently started weaning our 6 month old dd and she seems to be having problems pooing now. She is bf and has never had constipation before, but seems to be straining now, with nothing coming out. It has been a few days since she had a dirty nappy. Any thoughts on how I can help her (btw so far she has only had simple veg and fruit purees, and we are offering water at every meal). Thx

avoid bananas, they are really bad for blocking them up.

whizz a prune into some puree?

prune porridge! get some prunes and chop them into little pieces and mix with the porridge (you may need to soak them first if they are a bit dry/tough)
