BLW for allergy-risk baby

Hi,
My baby is almost 7 months, and I started about a month ago with pureed veggies and fruit. He's doing really well, eats plenty and seems to enjoy it. I wasn't really aware of BLW; don't think its common practice here in Belgium. It looks really fun, but I am wondering whether it is appropriate for allergy-risk babies. My husband is allergic to peanuts and has asthma, so I am being v. cautious and introducing only 1 new food per week. What is the BLW approach for allergic babies ?
Also, is it ok to switch from traditional weaning to BLW at this stage ?
Cheers.

I think its fine to switch - I know of babies who have 'forced' the switch by refusing puree!! Re allergies, you could still introduce things slowly and see what happens? I am sure someone else will come along with more advice too! Maybe give him the veggies and fruit he has already had but whole/steamed instead of pureed as you know he is ok with them, and you can see how he gets on?
