I weaned my dcs when they were 4months old(the advice at the time) and I remember that we had to start with fruit and veg purees and then gradually over the next year introduce eggs,fish,meat...

A friend is asking me if she has to do the same when weaning at 6 months. I seem to remember that you can give most things from 6 months but am not too sure. Is there still an order in which food should be introduced to a baby? what are today's guidlines?

You can give most things from 6 months, apart from nuts and honey which should wait till a year old, and if there is a known family allergy to dairy or wheat introduce these things carefully etc.
