Do I start weaning just because he is 6 months, even if he's showing no signs of being ready?

DS3, 6 months today, he's taking 5 or 6 8oz bottles a day, sleeping right through the night no problem, he can't sit up on his own, is very content through out the day, showing no signs of being hungry.

Do I wean him just because he's 6 months? Or wait till he's showing signs/can sit up on his own?

hand him some of your food (toast/veg/banana/whatever) and see what he does. if he can pick it up and swallow it then fine. it's actually best to offer food when they aren't very hungry so they don't get frustrated with it.

I'd say no. Take yr cues from him. Food for fun until they're one and all that

Thank you. Have never had one like him before, the others have all been ready at the 'right' age!
