Introducing new foods...

My DD is almost 9 months (7 1/2 corrected) she has some firm favourites (ie egg, avacado) but when I try to introduce new foods she barely eats any. How/ when should I introduce foods? Is it bad to stick to the favourites? I'm confused!

When my DS has new foods he usually turns his nose up the first time. I make sure to offer him something he does like so he doesn't go hungry, and just clear away the rejected food and try again another time. It usually takes 2-3 offerings before he decides whether he likes it or not HTH

Thanks, Cherry. Do you offer new food first and then offer the firm favourite to make sure he eats something?

I just put both on the tray and let him choose. He usually investigates anything new first but might not eat much of it, he's not a big eater anyway though so I don't worry too much if he doesn't eat anything.
