Oi, Aitch! Time to carve another notch in your highchair...

DS has been eating for 2 weeks now & is having a lot of fun. Best so far: I think it would be a tie between raw sweet pepper and spicy potato wedges.

This morning he discovered the joys of porridge as a moisturising face mask finger food.

I wonder how many babies around the world have been BLW'd as a direct result of Aitch and her blog? Anyone want to sign in here?

signing in for my 2

yay welliemum, the early days are so much fun aren't they!?

MarsLady · 23/05/2009 12:38

Lots of my clients now use BLW. Giving them the information and the link to aitch's blog is my parting gift. They often ring to tell me how well their babies are doing on it. The twin mums love it! Cheers aitch!

I agree, NorkilyChallenged, it's a lovely stage.

The hoover dog thinks so too. She got quite unreasonably excited when DH fetched the highchair out of the garage.

Ooh yes, I was so confused about BLW until I read Aitch's blog.

suwoo · 23/05/2009 13:11

I'm signing in.

Will also be doing it with DC3, when he has actually been born and reached the requisite 6 months

Lulumama · 23/05/2009 13:14

i tell my clients all about it too... i did BLW unwittingly, and then discovered what it was.. i loved it and recommended to everyone.. discussed with various HCPs too.

BLW.. babies can eat human food too!

Signing in. DD is munching on pizza as we speak. OK, she's 16 months but even so...

pigleychez · 23/05/2009 21:30

Me

DD is 9 mths and has loved every minute, Ive suprised myself how relaxed ive been with it all ( usually a control freak!)

Shes now wow's everyone with her fork and spoon control and is a dream to take out for dinner!

Ive pasted on the book and your link to many friends who have all started BLW now and friends with older children id spoken with wish they had done it themselves.

pigleychez · 23/05/2009 21:31

Please excuse the awful spelling!! Its been a long day with a poorly baby

charitygirl · 24/05/2009 11:16

I'll sign in - we are 2 months plus in and it is so fab to see him sucking meaty sauce off penne, swirling the penne in the sauce again and putting it back in his mouth.

And nibbling round rice cakes, smooshing strawberries, vibrating with joy at the sight of a yoghurt, hoovering up cheese on toast with not a crumb left over, or waving asparagus around before demolishing it to a sad little string.

And my mum, who is a GP, is so impressed she said she will spread the word!

WriggleJiggle · 24/05/2009 21:15

Bit late for me to sign in here, dds 3 years and 18 months, but both were blw'd purely because of Aitches mn postings .

AitchTwoOh · 24/05/2009 21:18

ah but wrigglejiggle yours is my favourite photo on the whole site...

i do hope these are ikea antilops we're notching?
