Giving too much salt?

I'm worried that I'm giving my 9 month-old too much salt. He loves cheese and eats a couple of chunks with his lunch, also cauli.cheese etc. He has weetabix every other day and custard every other day too (helps get the fruit down!). They've all got salt in. I don't put salt into any of his other foods (I make everything myself) and I use low salt stock and unsalted butter. Am I giving him too much - should I cut back on the things that contain salt? Or does this all sound OK?

I think this is fine! I mean what else can you do? Your son is a lucky little baba!

Just keep half an eye on it. I think the salt advice is more not putting oinch of salt on veg, seasoning on his plate etc. If you make most things yourself his salt will be geerally low.

You could check with your health visitor of not sure.
