Hi All very distressed as my 10.5 month old dd has for the past 1.5 weeks developed a tendency to store food in her mouth during meal times. She won't swallow it and when she tries to, she obviously gips as there is so much food in her mouth and then she is sick!! When I offer her food even though her mouth is full she still opens her mouth for more, but won't swallow the food that is already in her mouth to make room for more!! Then she moans as her mouth is so full! Please help I don't know what is going wrong!

Maybe give her a little bit of something that needs to be swallowed/induces a swallow reflex. Ice cream? Jelly? Stuff tha sort of melts in her mouth. Then don't give her any more until you see her swallow.

Or are you a family of hamsters and this is a wind-up?
