Do I need to give DS formula?

He is 8 months and down to 2 BFs a day (his idea!), eating 3 solid meals each day with a good appetite. Do I need to add a bottle of formula? I am unsure whether the 2 BFs are sufficient, and he seems less interested in them - what happens if he goes down to one? He does have a proper feed from me - there's no messing about or coming off.

Better to offer him more breastfeeds, really.

Sounds like he's doing great to me. If you're worried he's not getting enough milk then make sure he gets dairy in other forms, cheese, yoghurt, white sauce in the cooking etc. Is he drinking water too?
