Can you use honey for babies under 12months if you are cooking with it?

I have a really nice recipe for breakfast oaty banana muffins that I thought would try in an effort to get my 8mo dd to eat some breakfast.

They have 3tsp of honey for 12 muffins. Should I just replace with sugar/leave out or is it ok?

I wouldn't personally.

The WHO information suggests that the toxin is destroyed by heating.www.who.int/mediacentre/factsheets/fs270/en/

Despite knowing this I would still replace with sugar personally (but just because I know I would still worry)!

Thanks, I thought it was not worth it in the end too. Made them with sugar and just as nice. They are breakfast muffins not sweet ones so could prob just leave it out.

Thanks again.

No, don't use even cooked honey.

Don't suppose you'd post the recipe? Sounds lovely.
