I'm confused about it all.

And is it ok to give some kind of cereal at bedtime or is it bad to give solids just before bedtime? I gave DD (6mo) porridge 30 min before bedtime today because she was v tired. Read somehting on MN that yr not supposed to give carbs at bedtime - lo blood sugar - what are you supposed to give? When is last solid meal?

Can you tell it's my first baby??

at 6 months ds had 3 tiny meals and 5 milk feeds one of which was in the night. The day went like this:

7am - milk
8am - breakfast
11am - milk
12pm - lunch
2.30/3pm - milk
5pm - dinner
7.15pm - milk
in the night till 8 months - milk

I just gave solids at my own meal times and kept the milk feeds at their times. I never did solids after the dinner time ones.

My 6 month old day goes pretty much the same as above.
Though sometimes will only have 3 milk feeds through the day and one at night.

This was my ds at 6 months

7am baby rice
9am milk
12noon solid lunch and fruit puree pudding
3pm small amount of milk
5:30pm solid dinner
7pm milk before bed

He stopped feeding through the night at 5 months when I started weaning and ate a lot of solids so milk was less and less very quickly. By 9 months he was only on 1 bottle
