allergies?

hi, is strawberry likely to bring DD out in a red rash round her mouth, or is it more likely to be teething? are there any common allergies to food? thanks!

strawberry can be a common allergen and can cause a rash at the mouth. This is what babycentre says about it (more info about when to introduce other foods can be found here:

Strawberries and raspberries

Seed fruits can occasionally cause an allergic reaction in children. Wait until your baby is six months before giving them. Allergic reactions to these types of fruit and vegetables are usually mild, and often just affect the mouth, causing some itching or a rash where the food touches the lips and mouth. This is called oral allergy syndrome.
