I have breast fed my boy for 6 months and have started weaning, he will quite happily take food from a spoon, but he wont entertain anything from a cup or bottle or have anything of the sort in his mouth, any ideas please. I believe my milk is drying up from stress (long story) and I am afraid he may get dehydrated. any advice welcome.

Don't worry about it. Really. He's getting used to one change, perhaps that's enough for him for the moment. Try him on a different 'drink' in a few weeks' time. Babies often don't need extra drink for the first few weeks of weaning if they are having purees, as the food is so sloppy. Once he's eating protein, or large amounts of solids, then he will need more to drink.

Remember bm is drink as well as food. It will keep him adequately hydrated for the time being.
