hi guys, just wondered if anyone has any pearls of wisdom... DD is 5 months old and has been on small amounts of solids for 3 weeks now (started at 20 weeks on HV recommendations). Also stopped breast feeding the week before that so DD has had a lot of change. Initially was doing great with bottles but only had the tiniest amounts of food, if any. Now it seems to have switched. SHe is loving the food and I could easily give her a lot more but I am reluctant to because she already seems to be loosing interest in her bottles. She regularly only has 2-3oz formula from each bottle. However she then seems hungry over night again. (still waiting for the glorious time when she regularly sleeps through- 5 nights in total so far) Last night she only had 2 or 3 oz of her bedtime bottle but then had 6oz at 10.30 and 6oz at 4am. Tonight I am going to to give her a smaller bottle in the early morning to see if that helps, maybe 4oz to start with then reduce it further???? any other suggestions? Thanks.

Hello!

WHat are you offering first? Food or milk? Becuase at 5 months calories come from milk first and folks tend to give lower calorie veg purees as first foods.

Maybe make rice pudding etc with formular if she prefers the solids?

Hi

are you making your own puree? if so, you can just mix the milk into them. i mix the milk into all veg purees like carrots, sweet potatoe, butternut squash and etc. You can also mix the milk into apple, pear and banana.

how many bottles is she having in 24 hrs?
