weaning - what do i really need to buy...

right, before i waste even more money, and advice on what i really need to get started?

Long-sleeved bibs, ideally a high chair with a big recessed tray so you can dump dinner on there (saves on plates in the early days, and it won't stay on the plate anyway!), and that's about it. Dogs are useful, as are vinyl floors and Milton. BEWARE - nobody tells you that the black splodges on all your nice white clothes and furnishings are from something as innocuous as a banana!

Basically you can get as much tat or as little as you like. Whatever you invest in, you child will probably refuse/chuck away/be frightened of anyway, and you'll end up improvising with something you already pwned anyway. It's another area (like having your first baby) where it's all too easy to be persuaded by clever selling tactics that you need a load of stuff that you really don't need

Yes, those plates and bowls! They are see through too and DS loves to grin at me through them!
