Gagging 10 month old

My 10 month old DD has decided that it's a good thing to stick two fingers (or a handful!) down her throat whilst being fed, and making herself gag, and indeed vomit. Now, whilst I accept that sticking the fingers in the mouth whilst being fed is all about discovering what food is going in, what is the texture like, and what colour it is is all well and good, it's very unpleasant, and worrying, when it comes back up again.

Has anyone got any tips on how to prevent this happening, and to encourage her to chew and swallow her food?

TIA

Strap her wrists to the high chair.

No....

Well my DS does this and i just sort of know when hes sticking his fingers in too far and pull his hand out.

No other suggestions - sorry.
