BLW'd toddler suddenly wants to be fed????

DS3 is nearly 21 months. Just recently although he's still sometimes happy to sit and feed himself more often than not he'll only eat if I put the food on a fork and feed him.

He usually thrusts the fork at me - so there's no mistaking what he wants me to do.

Is this just "normal" (whatever that is ) toddler behaviour or has the BLW gone tits up??

i figure that if they're handing you the fork then that's baby-led enough for me! not like you're forcing him to do it lol

DS is much younger but he's going through a bit of a phase like this. He wants to use his cutlery so gets frustrated and wants us to help, and sometimes will hand us the spoon and wait to be fed. He'll use his hands when he's really hungry but generally seems to prefer cutlery for 'wet' foods. I guess yours is a lot better with cutlery though so that probably doesn't help

oh he's been using cutlery for ages now, we gave up on the plastic stuff just after he turned one - he uses proper "grown up" cutlery like his brothers - and often now I have to serve his dinner up on a proper dinner plate or else he won't even entertain eating it
