Ds (8 months) is a very reluctant eater but has started to have a little toast at lunchtimne. What good suggestions do people have for toppings? SO far we have tried soft cheese and hummous. Cheers.

Mushed up avocado, banana, also smoked mackerel. DS had tuna and cucumber sandwich today. Egg mayonnaise.

Hey 5! Is it just me or is it always nice to see people on other threads? It's like running into friends when you're out shopping or somthing!

I was a bit concerned about sandwiches as I thought they were more likely to make them gag, but maybe I will try that tomorrow!

Tomato puree with egg, tiniest scraping of marmite, all fruit no sugar jam

Sandwiches are good, he just takes them apart and feeds the components to the dog

5, had to let you know that I gave J a tuna sandwich for lunch and he ate a quarter of it really well. This is an unheard of amount for him. So thanks for that!

Great stuff Sybil. Agress nice to run into people I bump into poppy on the Archers thread.

pureed prune mixed with cream cheese - got the idea of the mix from an Annabel Karmel book and tried it on toast for my ds and it was scrummy!

My DS loves anything in sandwich form, so I put anything between two slices of bread or even in a tortilla. Cheese on toast is a good one, too and you can "anchor" other toppings under the cheese. I often do a bit of tomato sauce or peston, spinach/meat and cheese grilled for a few minutes.
Also, sweet potato/butternut is quite nice (surprisingly) spread on tortilla with cream cheese.

That should be "pesto" of course!

My DD goes mad for Lemon curd an nearly eats all of it.
