Dd is 9.5 months and has been eating really well. While I didn't do blw, as such, she has had finger foods from the beginning and regularly just ate what I was having (either fed herself or from a spoon). She seemed to love salmon, tuna kebabs, spag bol, scrambled eggs etc etc.

Over the last week or so she has been a nightmare. Most food just comes straight back out (whether I put it in or she puts it in herself). The only thing that seems to be swallowed is risotto or toast with stuff on. It's becoming a bit of a battle and I'm finding mealtimes v. stressful at the moment.

Maybe I had got a bit too smug and thought I had it cracked. She is only on the 2nd centile so could do with a bit more food going in.

Help.......

don't let it become a battle; have risotto alot if that's what she will eat - just vary the flavour! keep offering other stuff.

toast every day for lunch won't do any harm, vary the topping.

make sure snacks are healthy, and if she shows interest in something else then let her have it. i think they reach an age where they know what they like best and how to get it (by getting mummy in a state!)

Thanks, I will try to chill out but it's quite disheartening when most of what you've spent ages making ends up in the bin.

Might she be teething? Sometimes when teething it's sore in their mouths so dcs are more picky about what they eat - my ds certainly is. Keep at it but don't fret -she'll eat if she's hungry and as long as you keep offering her stuff, things will get swallowed eventually!

No she's not teething at the moment - just asserting her fiestiness, I think
