Hi plj, I have 9mo twins too (born 6 May). I also had 2-3 times waking each recently but have now got them to sleep through.
How do they sleep in the day? Do they have a routine of naps?
Are they BF and FF?
What food are you giving them?
I found when I dropped down from 5 to 3 BFs in the day they started to wake at night so now I always try to give them 5 BFs a day (first thing, 10am, after lunch, 3pm and before bed) as well as porridge with fruit, a protein lunch plus yogurt and then a veg/potato tea then Oatibix for dessert.
They nap for 30-45mins in the morning and 2hrs at lunch and they sleep 7pm till 7.30/8am.
Are they warm enough? Don't be scared to layer them up cos it is cold at the mo.
If you think they are teething, dose them up with Calpol for a few nights to see if it makes a difference. I know you might not want to use Calpol all the time but you should try it to rule out teething pain. You don't want to be thinking they are crying with pain.
As well as making sure they had lots of food and milk in the day I also used CC but it wasn't too bad at all. Just 50 mins crying first night, 20mins the second and then they slept through. But they have always settled themselves to sleep for naps (never had the time to rock them to sleep!) so self-settle quite well. CC is controversial but I looked into it and was happy that a baby who is well cared for but just can't self-settle will come to no harm through three nights of cc.
