Hi,

I know that everyone always says that you should let your baby quide you as to how much they eat, however, my baby never ever turns his head away or stops drinking when he is full. He will just keep going! I am starting to worry that I am overfeeding him as he now is on 3 meals a day and still having the same amount of milk as he was before and his weight has suddenly jumped up on the charts.

Please can I have some idea as to the amount your babies were eating and how much milk they were having when they were 6.5-7 months old.

Does he hold his own bottle or feed himself? If not encourage him to do so. My DS always had his own spoon and fork from 6 months. They do need close supervision with a fork though. The plastic ones are crap though they can't pierce the food on easily with those so get the ones with the metal prongs. With him controlling it himself he will be more likely to put it down when he is full. Also you could try him on a beaker. It takes a bit more effort to get the liquid out and again will be more likely to put it down if he's had enough.
