Am about to mash up some of tonight's dinner for dd but does it have too much salt in it?

It was cod with a cheese leek and bacon sauce, made from scratch with no extra salt added but am wondering if the salt in the bacon and cheese together is too much? DD is 28 weeks btw

Is this a bit pfb? probably, oh well

prob a bit salty for 28 weeks tbh. Perhaps take some cod out, then mix with some plain milk or plain mash.

Thanks Isaidno, I was thinking about picking the bacon bits out - would that be enough? She has had cauliflower cheese before.

I think it's fine if you go easy on salty things for the rest of the day or the next day, it's about salt intake over a longer period than just per meal. It's more important that they get used to different tastes and textures. I managed it in the early days by giving a salt-free breakfast and made my own bread for lunch, so dinner could be more salty.

Thanks MrsJamin that's v. helpful.

I picked out the bacon and whizzed it up with some mash and peas - she seemed to really enjoy it.
