VITAL Baby Non-spill Straw Cup - Ideas for cleaning the straw??

Does anyone have any nifty way for cleaning the straw part of the cup?? Can't seem to get the suds out. TIA

Pipe cleaners? Not sure where you'd get them from nowadays though!

I dismantle all my straw cups and clean with cottonbuds and put in milton....esp if you use juice . I used to wash after use and bung in dishwasher then I looked closer - black mould !!!

Or clean it and put the end in clean cold water and suck it (to clear the suds) and spit it out?? Might not taste the best but should do the job!

Sorry to hijack, but I've not seen these cups before. The Boots website says only suitable from 15 months - why is this?
