Going straight from BF to a cup?

When I wean my ds at 6 months I want to stop BF. I've heard that they can go straight from breast to a cup - is this possible, for their milk? He's never been keen on bottles. If so, can anyone recommend a good cup to try?

DD would never take a bottle, I moved her straight onto the doidy cup (available from the NCT shop) which worked very well. She was about 8 months. Other than that don't use a non-spill one because they need to kind of bite on the spout and then suck, which I think is quite tricky if they don't like bottles.

Hi there. My 6.5mo dd loves her doidy cup! Initially she licked the contents but now drinks a small amount at a time (if I put more liquid it winds up on her clothing).

All of my 3 went straight to a cup. The only problem is that they didn't tend to drink the same quantity from a lidded cup with a lid as they would from the breast, so I ditched the lid and helped them until they got the hang of drinking without too much spillage.
