Bottles of milk for 15 month old

I childmind a little 15 month old and I cannot remember from my DS how much milk (formula) is advisable at this age. Mum says that she is not eating well and appears to be losing weight.

LO has 6oz milk at about 10am, then another mid afternoon and probably one or two before bed and during the night. That is besides breakfast, lunch and supper but as I said she is not eating very well at the mo.

I reckon her bottles could be cut down??? Help! Cannot remember!

Thanks

Sounds to me like shes filling up on too much milk.
Cut down the amount of milk and the eating should increase, my dd was the same!

DS1 went down to two bottles a day at around 12 months (just had morning and evening ones). But was on cows milk by 12 months also, not formula.

DTs (12 months now) are still sometimes having 1 or 2oz at 2:30ish as well as morning and evening bottles (also on cows milk now).

DS1 does usually have about half a cup of milk now in the middle of the day, but he is nearly 3, and i only let him have it if has eaten a good lunch already, or if he has it as his afternoon "snack".

That sounds like a lot of milk to me. Ds2 (11 months) only has 2 bottles a day (breakfast and before bed) and a small cup of milk mid-afternoon that he barely touches.

dd2 is 16mths, and only has 2 bottles of cows milk.

4/5 oz in the morning and 6oz at night.

She will probaly has 1 or 2oz before bed at 6pmish. She may wake up in the night and have 4oz.

I have always made sure DS has 3 x 8 oz bottles.

Thanks, everyone. I should have mentioned that the formula is for milk intolerant babies, though it seems that the LO is outgrowing that and more dairy products are being introduced slowly with no ill effect.

I will mention reducing the bottles to Mum if the topic comes up again. Of course I could not tell her what to do, only make suggestions if asked!

Thanks again.

I was told by our paed that the recommended amount is about 720ml.
