Up until a couple of weeks ago I breastfed on demand, which really hasn't resulted in any particular times for feeds, my daughter takes little and often, day and night.

I give breastfeed at 8am, some baby cereal for breakfast with finger foods about 9am then some fimger foods at 1pm and 5pm when I eat.

I want to move onto bottles but haven't got a clue when to give them or how many or how much milk. If I give formula she normally drinks 5oz. We get up around 8am and DD goes to bed 8pmish. I also want to stop breastfeeding all night but thinking one step at a time might be easiest...

at this age ds had 4 day feeds and 1 night feed which were 7am, 11am, 3pm, 7.15pm and whenever he woke in the night. Meals were at our mealtimes which were 8am, 12pm and 5pm. I always gave milk first and then food an hour or more afterwards.

My DS is 6 1/2 months and is on formula. This is what he gets:

7am - FF followed by breakfast
11.30-12 - FF plus lunch. Plan to drop the FF at this time as soon as he's on protein food for lunch.
2.30 FF
5.30pm - tea
bedtime - FF

He doesn't have any night feed. His routine is 7am till 7pm ish.

AFIK the guidelines say about 500-600 mls (roughly 18 - 20 oz I think) milk required when weaning (including any used in cooking).
