Sometimes I feel like a bad mummy as I sometimes do the following for Dd (8 months)

  1. Use water from the tap (or water filter)
  1. Use a jar of food whrn I can't be arsed to cook or she is going to my mums
  1. Let her eat of my plate when it's not a mealtime
  1. I've let her have a chocolate button!!
  1. Can't be bothered to express any more so she has formula from a bottle when she stays at my parents overnight
  1. She had a big bit of fluff off the floor last week as well

Tell me your bad mummy stories, please to make me feel better

what's wrong with water from the tap? or food from a jar sometimes? or eating from your plate sometimes? or a chocolate button? or some forumla? personnally i wouldn't encourage the fluff eating but dcs pick up and eat a wide variety of things that are probably not the best for them.

DS (although older that your DD - he's 2.9) seems to be living on a predominately pig based diet at the moment, with the odd bit oof brocoli (the only veg apart from spuds he will eat thrown in).

  1. water is fine from the tap as a drink from 6 months so you are not being bad at all.

2)A jar can be a useful stand by so nothing wrong with that either

3)what is wrong with having food off your plate? If you are eating then why not her as well?

4)chocolate is fine in moderation

5)there is nothing wrong with formula either - both my lo's were formula fed after short lived attempts at breastfeeding

6)it will boost her immune system...lol (I always tell myself that when ds eats something suspect off of the floor)

god is this a joke?

if not, relax, really.

love the immune system argument seona .

A chocolate button!!!!

Get thee behind me Satan!

Seriously - you need to chill out. Locking your child in cupboards, posting them second class to Canada and letting them play with live tigers are possible characteristics of bad mothering (don't want to be too judgey ) but fluff, chocolate and food in jars are all fine!
