Problems transferring from formula to milk

DD is 16 months and we have been giving her Aptamil follow-on. Now really feel it's time she went on to normal milk but tried today and she was SO not interested. Has anyone else had problems transferring and if so do you have any ideas to convince dds that milk is lovely? TIA

You could try mixing the formula with cows milk and gradually tipping the balance toward cows. Or just keep offering cows milk and ditch the formula?

Thanks pinkspotty - we did try that mixing half and half this morning she was not interested. Just a bit worried that she won't have any milk if we ditch the formula. I guess giving her lots of yoghurt will help if she doesn't drink much milk.

Had very similar problem with ds1, we resorted to putting some strawberry milkshake powder in eventually as it was costing a fortune in formula. He's 4 now and will occasionally have a few sips of milk if daddy has a glass and very occassionally a milkshake, but is not interested otherwise. We give him milky tea and lots of dairy foods (yoghurt, cheese, milky tea, milk on cereal etc), she will actually get all the calcium she needs from them. DS2 we've started to offer cows milk at 12 months, we wait til we know he's thirsty and he seems happy to drink it. I suspect its just that some kids like cows milk, others don't. I hate it and my sister has never touched milk since the day mum stopped giving her a bottle!
