advice for transporting baby rice

DH and I will be taking DD to the big smoke on Saturday for the day, it will be her first trip since we started weaning - if I take baby rice and a small quantity of formula can i take it pre mixed or do i need to mix it just before i feed her?

I would mix it just before you need it or it will set solid!

Or what about taking a banana and just giving her a bit of that mashed?
