Annabel Karmel Blender recalled

The one from Boots.
I got one from an ebay seller and he e-mailed me to say that it had been recalled. Checked with my local Boots and it's true. Apparently you can bring it back to Boots for a full refund if you have one.

Whats the matter with it?

Don't have one just being nosy but my RL friend does.

Apparently the blade can drop down and break the beaker and worse, mix bits of beaker in with the food and apparently the plastic the beaker is made of is not an ideal weaning food!

I am very annoyed as when I ordered it from ebay, my post-office "forgot" to deliver it for weeks. So I got a different hand-blender from freecycle which was fine. But then I discovered the AK one was sitting in the sorting office, so collected it and gave the other one to my brother!

So now I'll have to get another one again!

I got my blender from argos for about £4 I think. Best thing I bought as I got it when DS(3) was tiny and its still going!!

DD is 10mths has no teeth but has totally refused food without lumps and will now only eat big* food!!

But I keep blender for sups etc.

Try argos or tescos direct for cheepie blender!!

I heard they were recalled as they were totally unnecessary for weaning

Will Boots be also recalling their carrot puree for babies from 4 months then?

i heard they recalled it because Ms Karmel has enough money now.

i had one about 8-9 months ago. blade dropped down when i was using it one day and shredded bottom of beaker.

bloody dangerous. wish i had bought a normal one but was sucked in by annabel karmel marketing ploy
