9mo DS would eat omelette every day if i let him but i restrict him to weekends only at the mo and don't really use them much in cooking for him. Are there any guidelines on how many eggs you can give a baby per week?

I'm not sure about quantities but I just googled and found some advice saying that only yolks should be given to babies under 12 months as the white is an allergen. My ds is 10 months and has been eating eggs for a few months now and I didn't know that! I couldn't find anything about the number of eggs, maybe someone else will have a better idea and can advise.

pfft - the allergen thing is only if you are an allergicky family

I don't give dd more than one a day - they can be a bit constipating. But v good source of protein and vits - don;t avoid them. And obv but the best you can afford - free range at least,
