Ds is now nearly 8 months and has been happily munching on most of what's been presented to him since he turned 26 weeks.

Me and DS have tea together at around 4.30/5pm and DH gets in from work at 5.45 and we then go up and get ready for bath/boob/bed.
After DS is asleep, I then get our dinner ready.
So DS isn't really having what we have, rather I share what he's having, so tea is often more of the rice cakes/ cucumber sticks/ banana type of finger foods, or sometimes pasta and pesto or omelette.
And I've been back to feeding DH frozen chicken and chips, which he enjoys, but isn't good for any of us.
I'm worried DS is getting bored with what he's eating, as he chows down when we go out, but is just messing at home now.
How do you handle it when your LO is not eating with the grown-ups?

give them your leftovers from the night before (which means no more chicken and chips for you either...)

but there's nothing wrong with a sandwich-type tea if he has a proper lunch

Leftovers is a good idea, and he's usually hungrier at lunchtime. Hmmm....

NB blw means eating what you eat (ie real food not slop) but not neccesarily when you eat it

If you like, give last night's leftovers at lunchtime while you have a sandwich, then finger food for in the evening while you have a cup of tea.

yep, leftovers from the night before is the way to go, or for some meals you can easily cook all of yours together and reheat for yourselves later (e.g. I have just cooked a chilli which DS will eat at 5pm and we will eat at 8pm).
