Awww please.

It's been most confusing since I stopped BF (DD self weaned as I entered my second trimester). I have no idea if she's getting enough or having more than she really should.

Any indication of what's necessary would be great.

No one even willing to give me a clue?

approx 350mls worth is the recommended minimum from 1yr which includes milk with cereal and other dairy, etc

I am similarly confused. I gave up BFing when DS was over 11 months so never went over to formula, just to cow's milk. I heard it's a pint a day but that's really hard to work out when dairy's in lots of things.

I give him a drink of milk before he goes to bed and he has a lot of plain yoghurt and cheese per day, plus loads in his cereal too, so I hope that's enough. I'm going to have him weighed soon so it can put my mind at rest that he's having enough.

Thank you both! I've been wanting to cut out the milk she's been demanding in the night but although I was pretty sure it was habit, I was worried she was asking for it to keep her levels up...

She's drinking about 5 - 700ml per day as well as what she has on cereal She also has plenty of cheese and youhurt too so she's definitely having enough.

We went straight over to cows milk too MrsJamin. I can't believe what a palava it seems after BF, messing about with bottles and remembering to take it with me to bed etc etc.

DD2 still has 3 or 4 bottles a day varying between 4 & 6 ozs each time. Unlikely she'd have 4x 6 now except on a very hungry day. She has 3 good sized meals & 2 or 3 snacks a day including fromage frais, cheese at the least in one meal & one snack.
